With age 2 quickly approaching it was getting obvious that it was time to change things up!
In 2 years the amount of toys, books, and other stuff a baby acquires seems to start to dominate their bedroom. What starts as a nursery with tiny sweet clothes, a crib, and baby essentials, quickly starts looking like the Toys R Us going out of business sale.
So we bit the bullet and began switching out some furniture and adding some new pieces.
I was in search for something cute and simple to store toys and stumbled across this toy storage dresser.

Honestly, I could not be happier with this piece of furniture.
It is lightweight, colorful, and holds tons of toys, including some of the bigger ones. She can pull the drawers out easily by herself and I don’t have to worry about her getting hurt since the drawers are fabric and lightweight. The best part is the price, it is well worth 60 bucks for the use and function we get out of it, plus the colors make her room pop! They even have two other sizes in a verticle position if you prefer to save on space.

Then came the search for a toddler bed.
Again, Amazon did not fail me! We found this wooden Dream On Me toddler bed for a great price and the best part is it comes in so many colors! We got the bed in the color lavender ice, as you can see it is a very subtle purple color, which I love. It was pretty simple to put together too, even with a toddler “helping”.
And to make this new bed cozy and inviting, I found this Woodland Friends toddler BEDDING SET and I am absolutely in love with it, and so is she! For around 20 bucks you can’t beat it.

I’m always reluctant to get character bedding because kid’s interests change so fast, and luckily at age 2 she doesn’t have a preference. So when we came across this one, it was perfect. It has animals on it which she loves and a multitude of colors so it matches everything. I have often found her laying on her bed looking and pointing at all the things she sees on it.

Then last but not least is this little multi-function books/toy storage bin. This girl loves books and always has them everywhere and I really needed a way to organize them. They are right at eye-level for her and the bottom holds some awkward size toys that were just taking up floor space before. It came in a couple of days after the other 2 pieces of furniture but was the perfect little size to fit right in with all the other new stuff. It comes in two other colors as well.
It is like a little miniature world in her room now, with all the perfect sized furniture for her.
By the way, if you ever want a kid to start playing with their toys then just go work in their room and try to get things organized. For awhile she undid everything that I was doing to the point I finally had to kick her out and close the door just to get a picture. Needless to say, she loves the new makeover!

So that’s it! A room makeover without even leaving the house to shop around. Isn’t Amazon great!
Every piece here was well under 100 bucks!
By the way, all of these items shipped without any damage, were delivered within a week, and were simple enough for one person to put together.
The furniture part is easy, now for actually redoing the room. I have put off getting this old wallpaper down for way too long, I am dreading it actually. I am very inexperienced when it comes to removing wallpaper but we can’t wait to paint her room pretty girl colors and get some new flooring.
If you have any questions regarding any of the items in this post please don’t hesitate to contact me. I hope this inspires you for ideas for your little ones’ room transformation.

This room looks so beautiful. We actually just redid the kids room too and instead of wallpaper or painting (no time for either), I opted for cute wall stickers from Amazon which you can check out on my website. I will definitely look into some of these furniture options as our toddler gets older. 😉
